Is fencing right for me..?
Fencing is a wonderful sport that maximizes your mental focus and physical athleticism. Fencing is also a difficult sport that requires a substantial degree of technical capacity married to a high level of tactical consideration. A fencer is the thinking athlete!

UWW Fencing Camp
:: for Coaches and Fencers ::
June 15 - June 19, 2022, UW Whitewater
This summer, right here in Wisconsin, will be a world-class fencing coach camp. We're holding the camp from June 15-19th in Whitewater on the campus of UW-Whitewater. This residential, three-weapon camp has been accredited by the USFCA.
Our teaching staff is tremendous! Here are just the smallest highlights of our instructors' resumes:
For foil, we'll have Mike Pederson, who's been a national coach for both the United States and Canada. In 2008 he led the US women's foil team to a silver medal in the Olympics.
In epee our instructor is Ro Sobalvarro. Ro has also been a national coach and led the women's epee team to Olympic bronze in 2012.
For sabre, we have our division's very own Eric Momberg and Mike Garrison. Eric is the fencing coach at Lawrence University, where he has produced 5 D3 All-Americans in his first year as head coach. Mike is the owner and head coach of Madison Fencing Academy, former UW-Madison coach, and 2010 Midwest Conference Coach of the Year.
If you are a coach, you don't want to miss this opportunity.
But the camp is not just for coaches! We have spots available for fencers as well, where you can gain invaluable experience and training as you work with the other attendees to sharpen your skills and learn from the best.

I hope to see you in June!
