Frequently Asked Questions

Location and schedule
Unless otherwise noted, we fence every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30 P.M to 9:30 P.M at the Eagle School, 5454 Gunflint Trail, Madison, WI. We will publish a list of the very few No Fencing Dates well in advance, so please check back here before planning your visit.

Equipment rental
The Madison Fencing Academy has all the equipment you need to try fencing. Equipment rental fees are included in the floor fee ($10). If you decide to buy your own equipment, we will be happy to make recommendations.

Fees
The MFA charges a $10 floor fee per practice session to visiting fencers who don't wish to purchase an annual membership. We encourage new fencers to pay the floor fee and fence with us a few times to see if they like it, before buying an annual membership.

Memberships
An MFA annual membership costs $400 per year. This fee allows access to facilities and fencing equipment for one year from the day you join.
