MFA Holiday Schedule

The Madison Fencing Academy will return from its holiday break on Monday January 4, 2010.

Everyone at the MFA wishes you a wonderful 2010!

See you soon,

Mike

The MFA December Fencing Schedule

Hello folks,
As you know the Madison Fencing Academy rents space from a church. This makes fencing around the holidays a sketchy proposition. This year these problems will be exacerbated by a combination of holiday activities and residential ministries that will use the entire building for weeks at a time.

The practical upshot for the MFA is that the church will be unavailable from Monday December 7 through Thursday December 24. We will still be fencing however. Our friends at the Durendal club have graciously invited us to fence with them during this period.

So, for the weeks of December 7, 14 and 21 our fencing schedule will look like this:

  • Tuesday 12/8/09: fencing at the Durendal Club, 8:00 PM
  • Thursday 12/10/09: fencing at the Durendal Club, 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday 12/15/09: fencing at the Durendal Club, 8:00 PM
  • Thursday 12/17/09: fencing at the Durendal Club, 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday 12/22/09: fencing at the Durendal Club, 8:00 PM

Also, please note the different practice times; Tuesday and Thursday @ 8:00 PM.

The Durendal Club fences at the Neighborhood House Community Center, 29 South Mills Street, Madison.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

We're in The Onion!

It's hard to imagine a more prestigious news source than The Onion. It was, after all, The Onion that broke the story Office Ninja Silently Kills Twelve Coworkers, and now that same investigative juggernaut has tracked down the Madison Fencing Academy.

Check out the story here
